Solution to the problem:

(1) High running resistance

The possible reasons are:

① The filter bag has become clogged; ② The pulse valve is not functioning or damaged; ③ The compressed air pressure is too low; ④ The lifting valve does not close tightly when the pulse valve is working; ⑤ One or more lifting valves are in a closed state.

Exclusion method:

① Clean the filter bags and enhance ventilation; ② Maintain or replace the pulse valves; ③ Inspect the air path and the air compressor; ④ Check the dust cleaning controller.

(2) Low running resistance

The possible reasons are:

① Smoke gas short circuit; ② Filter bag damage;

Exclusion method:

① Inspect the pipelines and perform welding repairs on any damaged areas; ② Inspect and replace the filter bags;

(3) The pulse valve is not functioning.

The possible reasons are:

① Power failure or malfunction of the cleaning controller; ② There are impurities inside the pulse valve, causing continuous air leakage; ③ The coil of the pulse valve has burned out; ④ The pressure of the compressed air is too low.

Exclusion method:

① Restore power supply or repair the dust cleaning controller; ② Carefully clean the pulse valve; ③ Replace the coil of the pulse valve; ④ Inspect the gas path system and the compressor.

(4) Cleaning and replacement of filter bags

During the use of the filter bags, due to the high viscosity of the dust, the filter cloth may become caked, which will increase the resistance of the dust collector and affect the dust removal effect. When such a situation occurs, the filter bags need to be removed from the dust collector and rinsed with clean water on the surface of the filter cloth. After the rinsing is completed and it dries, they can be used again.

The cleaning cycle of the filter bags is determined by the user based on the dust properties of the unit and the usage frequency of the dust collector. Generally, after one year of use, the filter bags will gradually deteriorate. The main reasons are the abrasion caused by the dust, high temperature, and high humidity, which lead to the deterioration of the filter material.

The pulse dust collector cannot operate with damaged filter bags; otherwise, the dust removal effect will be affected. Users should replace the filter bags in time.

Basic Maintenance Methods

(1) During the operation of the equipment, a dedicated person should be assigned for management and operation records should be kept.

(2) The managers should be familiar with the principles, performance, and operating conditions of the dust collector, and be capable of adjusting the operating parameters and performing equipment maintenance.

(3) Regularly replenish lubricating oil to the lubrication points on the pulse dust collector.

(4) Regularly check whether the pulse cleaning system of the dust collector is operating normally. If it is not normal, pay special attention to inspecting whether the pulse valve diaphragm and the electromagnetic valve are malfunctioning or damaged. And promptly carry out maintenance or replacement.

(5) If the pulse valve of the pulse dust collector malfunctions, it should be repaired promptly. If there are impurities, moisture or other foreign substances inside, they should be cleaned immediately. If the diaphragm is damaged, it should be replaced promptly.

(6) Regularly inspect the condition of the cylinders and all flange surfaces. If any leakage is detected, the sealing rings should be replaced promptly.

(7) Replace the sealing strips on the maintenance door if they are worn out.

(8) Regularly measure the process parameters, such as gas volume, temperature, and concentration. If any abnormalities are detected, the causes should be identified and promptly addressed.

(9) Regularly check the normal operation of the equipment by observing the fluctuations in its operating resistance.

(10) The filter bags are wear-prone components. Users should regularly inspect the working condition of the filter bags and consider replacing them in a timely manner based on the degree of their damage.

(11) Regularly inspect the gas pipeline system and the operation of the ash discharge system. Address any abnormalities promptly.

(12) Based on the water accumulation situation in the water separator of the compressed air system, regularly discharge the accumulated water.

(13) During shutdown, after the process system stops, the pulse dust collector and exhaust fan should continue to operate for a period of time to remove moisture and dust from the equipment. At the same time, before the pulse dust collector stops working, the cleaning and discharging operations must be repeated.
