Wet dust collectors are devices that use water or other liquids to remove dust from the dusty gas. When dust particles encounter the sprayed water droplets, water films, or moistening arms and components, they undergo processes such as wetting, coagulation, diffusion, and sedimentation, thus being separated from the gas and achieving the purpose of purifying the gas. Wet dust collectors use water as the medium, so they are suitable for non-fibrous, cold-resistant, and non-reactive with water dusty gases, but not for removing viscous dust. Wet dust collectors have the advantages of low investment, simple operation, small floor area, and the ability to simultaneously purify harmful gases, cool and humidify the dusty gas. They are particularly suitable for the purification of gases with high temperature, high humidity, and explosion hazards. However, since water is used as the purification substance, it is necessary to treat the containing sludge wastewater; otherwise, it may cause secondary pollution.

The wet dust collector can effectively remove liquid or solid particles with diameters ranging from 0.1 to 20 mm from the airflow.

It has the characteristics of low equipment investment, simple structure, high dust removal efficiency, few movable spare parts in the equipment itself, convenient operation and maintenance, and small floor area.

It can simultaneously purify harmful gases, cool and humidify the flue gas, and is particularly suitable for handling gases with high temperature, high humidity, flammability, explosiveness and danger.

It can effectively prevent secondary dust emission during operation.
